VANCOUVER, WA. – On May 18, at its 76th Annual Conference and Membership Meeting in Tulalip, Wash., Northwest Public Power Association (NWPPA) presented the awards to individuals within the public power community.
Retired Douglas PUD Commissioner Lynn Heminger was awarded the Life Membership Award. Lynn was an active member of NWPPA for his entire 24 years of service to his county and the public power community. Lynn held various leadership positions to represent northwest public power entities, including all offices of the Washington Public Utility Districts Association. Lynn was also Northwest representative to APPA's Policy Makers Council.
The Life Membership Award honors retiring or retired policymakers and managers from member utilities who have made notable contributions to NWPPA and public power.
