GENERAL INFORMATION: The Electrical Engineer will work under the supervision of the Power Operations Engineer. Duties will include engineering responsibilities for electrical system protection and maintenance activities for the District's portion of the bulk electric power system. Duties will also include responsibilities for demonstrating and documenting compliance with NERC standards and other regulatory requirements related to electric utility system operations.
Successful applicants must have:
A Master or Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering
Ability to demonstrate skills and aptitude for working with electric utility power system modeling and analysis software
Knowledge and experience related to high voltage transmission protective relay operations
Knowledge and experience related to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems will be considered in the selection for this position
Ability to interact with co-workers, vendors, and the public in a respectful and positive manner
Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
A current Washington State Driver License and evidence of good driving record
