Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Molly Simpson and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the April 25, 2016 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Awarded Journeyman Meterman Darren Robertson with his twenty year service award. Commissioner Davis thanked Darren on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his years of service. Darren thanked the Commission and said "It has been a great twenty years. I feel fortunate to work here."

Presented Wildlife Biologist Jim McGee with his retirement plaque and thanked him for his almost 36 years of service to Douglas County PUD. Jim thanked the Commission.
Reviewed bid opening results for bid document 16-05-D, supply and deliver bus support steel for the Veedol Substation. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Reviewed bid opening results for bid document 16-17-D, supply and deliver 15kV vacuum circuit breakers for the Veedol Substation. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Approved addendum No. 2 to bid document 16-04-D, supply and deliver tubular steel for the Veedol Substation to clarify which ASTM standards shall be used in constructing the tubular steel poles. (16-067)
Awarded contract 16-05-D, supply and deliver bus support steel for the Veedol Substation to Galvanizers, Inc the lowest responsive bidder. (16-068)
Awarded contract 16-12-D, provide Distribution tree trimming services to Asplundh Tree Expert Co. the lowest responsive bidder. (16-069)
Awarded contract 16-17-D, supply and deliver 15kV vacuum circuit breakers for the Veedol Substation to WESCO Distribution, Inc the lowest responsive bidder. (16-070)
Authorized transport agreements with the Television Network – Music Choice. These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network.(16-071)
Approved acceptance of work and release of the retainage bond to Hancock Sandblast and Paint under contract 15-24-W, rehabilitate Unit 4 trashracks at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (16-072)
Authorized cooperative work agreement with US Department of Agriculture regarding replacement of Avian Exclusionary wires at Wells Dam. Exclusionary wires suspended above the tailwater at the Wells Hydroelectric Project help Douglas PUD meet HCP survival standards, aid in deterring piscivorous birds from feeding on outmigrating salmonids and are a requirement of the HCP. This agreement will not exceed $14,877. (16-073)
Authorized adjustments to certain technical, professional and administrative salaries. An adjustment to salaries of 2.0% and other adjustments to recognize promotions, performance, responsibility and job market trends are necessary to continue to attract and retain a qualified workforce. These adjustments amount to an annual budget impact of $73,716 (0.12% of the $59.43 million Distribution System expenditure budget) for employees assigned to the Distribution System and $129,432 (0.14% of the $91.2 million Wells Project expenditure budget) for employees assigned to the Wells Project. The current budgets include an estimate for salary adjustments. (16-074)
