Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Molly Simpson and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the April 11, 2016 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:
Opened bids under bid document 16-12-D, provide Distribution tree trimming services. All bids will be evaluated prior to contract award.

Awarded Customer Accounting Supervisor Rose Klinge with her thirty year service award. Commissioner Davis thanked Rose on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for her years of service. Rose thanked the Commission and said "I am thankful each day to come to work for this utility. I work with great people."
Reviewed bid opening results for bid document 16-07-D, construct Veedol Substation. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Authorized close of contract 13-11-D, provide Distribution Dock Crew services. No work was preformed or expense incurred over the three year agreement. (16-059)
Approved award of contract 16-07-D, construct Veedol Substation to Potelco, Inc. the lowest responsive bidder. (16-060)
Authorized a membership application and a software and service agreement with National Information Solutions Cooperative. This is in response to RFP 15-22-D, integrated software solution. (16-061)
Affirmed change order No. 2 to contract 15-19-W, Methow Boat Launch maintenance dredging. The change will extend the completion date to May 15, 2016 to allow for final grading and seeding of the dredge disposal area. (16-062)
Rejected the bid under bid document 15-27-W, 2016 heavy equipment services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The bid exceeded the engineer's estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law. (16-063)
Awarded contract 16-08-W, provide and install Pond 1 bird exclosure at Wells Hatchery to Net Services, LLC, the lowest responsive bidder. (16-064)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 16-16-W, 2016-2017 heavy equipment services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The District periodically requires heavy equipment services to perform scheduled, unscheduled and emergency work at various locations of the Wells Hydroelectric Project. (16-065)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 16-20-W, upgrade the uplift monitoring system at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The District monitors uplift pressures manually. This upgrade will provide continuous pressure monitoring instrumentation for more consistent measurements. (16-066)
Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 3,107 end users.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. April 25, 2016 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
