Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the April 16, 2007 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 07-08-D, Rock Island Grade to Palisades underground fiber cable installation. The apparent low bid was received from Bob Humbert & sons Inc. of Milton-Freewater, OR. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 07-16-D, Pangborn Substation control and relay panels. The addendum will add a bid schedule that was left out and clarify a discrepancy in specifications and drawings. This addendum will also extend the bid opening date from April 30, 2007 to May 7, 2007. (07-110)
Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 06-53-D, Pangborn Substation bus equipment and steel support structures. Changes include modifications to steel support structures. This change order will increase the not to exceed limit $2,970.94, bringing the total not to exceed limit to $115,853.89. (07-111)
Awarded Cascade Cable Constructors, Inc. of Spokane, contract 07-07-D, installation of underground primary cable and conduit. Cascade Cable Constructors, with a bid price of $1,370,250, was the only responsive evaluated bidder. (07-112)
Awarded Hawkeye Construction Inc. of Troutdale, OR, contract 07-09-D, distribution dock crew. Hawkeye, with a bid price of $1,303,343, was the lowest responsive evaluated bidder. (07-113)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 07-22-D, Eastmont Communication Building to Douglas Switchyard and Briarwood Subdivision fiber backbone installation. This installation will provide more capacity from the Eastmont Communication Building to Douglas Switchyard and enable Briarwood Subdivision to connect to the DCCN after distribution fiber is installed. Authorized an agreement for professional services with LGL Limited for evaluation of summer chinook passage times at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The cost of this study is not to exceed $123,522. (07-115)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. April 23, 2007 at the District’s East Wenatchee Headquarters building.
